I recently got this headset, and wow is it good. My only issue is when certain people talk on discord, I can hear a really high pitched ringing. I fiddled with a bunch of settings, computer audio and discord, and nothing seems to solve the issue. It is primarily if not all in my right ear only. Is there something wrong with my headset, or was that ringing always there I can just hear it cause the headset is THAT good? I haven't had any issues with any other application, though I have yet to test if I can hear the ringing on a different version of discord, say on my xbox instead of my pc. Only other issue I've had is occasional static, but I can't tell if it's from the headset or the show/game/etc.

While I was waiting, I picked up a Schiit stack (Magni 3 & Modi 2 Uber) so I would have something to power my 6XX with. This is my first foray into open back headphones but not into quality audio products overall. However, since my twins were born I can no longer use my home theater setup to any where near it's capability for music & movies. So now, I can at least listen to my music while working on the computer with above average sound quality. Is this the best setup money can buy? No, I'm sure it isn't but considering the price of entry I'm more than happy. I have listened to a variety of tracks (rock, metal, trance, industrial) and so far the headphones and amp/dac have performed very well. I love the sonic reproduction and it always sounds clear but not at all fatiguing. Bass is just slightly on the light side, but that is likely due to my past experience listening to music on the home theater system which includes a large sub. With that your whole body can feel the bass and that will never be possible with headphones.
Overall I'm happy with the purchase.
I'd argue that it pretty much is, and if it's not, it is at least in the 99th percentile for quality audio. I challenge anyone to listen to the HD 6XXs in a volume-matched blind test on a $250 Schiit stack, and some audiofool/snakeoil $12,000 setup and tell the quality apart at least 95% of the time.
