Anyone else have a back that failed already?

Mine literally failed yesterday afternoon. I was sitting in my chair, I put my hands up in the air and started leaning back to get the chair to tilt and suddenly the back fell out on the chair. Turns out that the top screw for one of the brackets that holds the back to the chair stripped/broke and the screw came out causing me to nearly fall out of the chair onto my head.

How comfortable would this be for a fairly short person?

If you are much shorter than like 6' your head would be against the hard plastic piece in the back unless you use the pillow. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone under 5'10".

xKeeganI'd agree with this statement. I'm about 5' 10" myself and would say the chair is on the larger side of comfortable. I can sit in it with my back fully up against the backrest and have my feet firmly on the floor, and with the armrests adjusted all the way in and all the way back they're aaalmost right where I want them. If I could shrink everything down like, 5-10% and keep the adjustability, I'd say it would be about perfect for someone my size.

I'm 5'8". I find the chair to be pretty comfortable still. The wings on the "waist " end up sitting just a little below my shoulders but because they are plenty cushioned they are quite fine to rest the back of my upper arms on. Arms rest and legs aren't really an issue since you can adjust all the heights. I find the head pillow sits just above my preferred position of the lower head/neck so I often pull it down when I sit down. As long as I have the pillow support my neck I find no discomfort on the back of my head. The backrest pillow I find to be on the larger size for me so I am adjusting it more than my previous chair. All in all very fine chair for my height, but I do have to adjust the pillows on it more than my previous chair.

What's the frame made of?

Steel and Aluminum. The legs are aluminum and the seatback frame has steel belt-like strips. You can actually displace the padding from the seatback from the front of the seat and see the structure quite easily (not sure why this is accessible but it is) and it looks like there are about 4 or 5, 1" wide, 1/8" thick steel 'belts'. Under the foam on the seat bottom it is also supported by what appears to be nylon webbing.

A year+ later, can someone tell me how to attach this head pillow?

The head pillow has a elastic strap and you just slide it on the head rest.

Have had my chair for almost five years now. Holding up pretty good. But it needs a set of new wheels right away. Where can I get these?
