How do we know MassDrop is going to send out the knife that they are advertising on here? I was just duped by MassDrop on the last order, not sending the product which they listed. How can you and I be sure this isn't going to happen again?
trailblazzrYou use some very strange language considering that what happened was Spyderco changed their materials for a knife that has been unchanged for over a decade.
That's not a 'duping', you colossal walnut. No one tried to scam you out of money, it was an apparently honest mistake that happened for simple to understand reasons.
trailblazzrThe Spyderco Native BlueBox that I think you're referring to was an unfortunate mixup, but one that was beyond our control - Spyderco didn't inform our team that launches those drops about any changes to materials. Unlike brands that we simply resell in group buy drops, Massdrop Made products are manufactured at our direction - it would not be acceptable for a vendor to change steel types, and if they could not source the steel we chose then we would of course offer members the option of cancelling. You were not 'duped' but I'm sorry it felt that way. However, there's no need for concern - you can be assured that you will receive the knife as described because we've done that successfully with about 10,000 other Massdrop Made knives already.
