So the assumption is that EVERYONE uses 110v?

CEE_TEEHi Cee_Tee,
Does the 220V version have the tolerance to handle a 240V AC line? Are there US or European tube equivalents to the Russian tubes? So from the description, this a design that Craig endorsed and is in line with his design philosophies, but without his direct circuit design input? If there are any electronic passive parts changes compared to the stock Laconic Lab (apart from aesthetics), I hope it will be shared here too - soon.
Thank you.

Rick_THey Rick T. I'll have to ask about 240V. Usually there is some +/- range as voltage on power mains can fluctuate at times. Correct on design. As for anything different, a resistor was changed to improve noise level. Also, instead of a second set of RCA inputs, this has one set of RCA inputs and another that passes the DAC signal right through to another amp if you so desire...

Rick_TOh, as to other tube variants: we are shipping with well-regarded 1960's NOS Russian tubes that have been tested in the amp for hours before leaving the factory. This is a good part of the value of the amplifier, you should not need to roll tubes and it will sound good out of the box. However, there is some testing being done in the background and we will list some compatible tubes in the manual. Will post here later. CAUTION: Not all tubes that fit in the sockets are electrically compatible and using incompatible tubes or untested and bad tubes will void the warranty.

CEE_TEEThanks.. I appreciate the thorough reply. I’ll await for the 220V power transformer tolerance/range spec detail.. It’s cool you have included select Russian NOS types, but it would be nice tonto know what other equivalents can be used for tube rolling or when the time comes we need to replace ‘em.

LevvyGlobal Use: Yes, the 220 volt version will work fine with 240 volts. But it would have difficulty below 210-205 volts.

CEE_TEE| this has one set of RCA inputs and another that passes the DAC signal right through to another amp if you so desire...
Hi! I have a question about this, as the amp time draws...slightly closer than it was when the drop happened, haha, and I'm considering how I'll arrange the gear.
When the ZDTJr passes the signal through, does it...do anything to it? For example, the Magni 3 controls the output volume, and only passes through if there isn't a headphone plugged in. What about the zdt here? Does it control the volume, effect the sound, or need to not have a headphone plugged in to pass through?
Thanks!
