Hey Everyone,
Good news- we have worked with Koss to have 120V & 220V options at check-out!The dev team at Massdrop did a lot of coding to add the options and retroactively assign your orders based on location.
If you already ordered: Please go to your Transactions page from your Profile drop-down menu and find your Order. Please check it to see if you have the correct voltage for your country and usage.
If you have not ordered yet: You can now order and clearly select a voltage option at check-out!
Please Note: the wall power supply will now work with the voltage that you choose, but you may need to provide your own small plug adapter to fit your country’s outlet.
CEE_TEEFor those who are on the fence and still deciding:
Don't wait any more. Jump right in with us now!!! Join the 342 of us now before all 360 units are called for. I think it will reach the maximum capacity any minute or sooner.
phoenixsongYou are right. I found the number of members signing up for this Koss product is not increasing but decreasing every day in the past 2 weeks, especially when the extension cord issues started. The maximum capacity of 360 should have reached a week ago if not for all the drama and issues over a small extension cord. I personally am one of those who decided to cancel this Koss drop. I got worried for locking my $499 for 6 months with an out-dated product content and sales techniques that are questionable ethically. I ended up buying a Stax set which is more updated in technology (not an almost 30-year-old Koss set here). I like Massdrop but they really messed up this time with this Koss drop and especially mis-handled the extension cord issue big time. I found at least 6 members that I know cancelled this Koss drop due to the screwed up on extension cord information. Hope Massdrop will learn how to treat customers better from here.
HorseknightGood evening - I also dropped out for the same reasons you mentioned. I am considering going the Stax route as well... just wanted to make it 7 members!
HorseknightThank you for the recommendation, however, I not only considered them i already own both and enjoy them... I prefer the sound of the 58x over 6xx. If you don't mind me asking, which set of Stax and Energizer did you decide to purchase?
BDKillianHi! Good afternoon. I like my 6XX a lot and am waiting for my 58X to be shipped. Glad to know that you like 58X. I heard many said that 58X is closer to 6-level product line and far away from 5-level product line. Glad to hear you confirmed 58X's nice performance. Thanks.
HorseknightThat is an excellent deal and it's totally understandable why you jumped on it! I'm considering that same Stax combination (300 limited and 353) but haven't pulled the trigger as I'm weighing the decision to commit to the move to electrostatic headphones.... To avoid that guilty feeling... Especially since I spend so much on this hobby already!
In regards to the58x, I prefer their sound over the 6xx and I'd be interested in your opinion of them when they arrive and you've had an opportunity to listen to them.
BDKillianHi! Mr. Killian Good evening. I would like to share some updates with you.1) Got my HD-58X and as you said, it sounds nice and different from my 6XX. Glad I bought it. Many people are modifying 58X such as removing foam pad and adding some cover on the driver's magnetic opening. Not sure if those mods actually change sound much??? 2) While waiting for my 300 limited & 353, to my surprise, my SRS-3100 Earspeaker System [SR-L300 + SRM-252S] arrived from Japan today. THEY ARE AWESOME. I could not stop using this new set all day. If the 3100 set is this wonderful, I wonder how the more expensive set will do????
HorseknightHello and good afternoon! I'm glad to hear that you like the 58x - I haven't tried pulling out the foam as I am quite fond of them they way they are - but I have been curious about it myself. I may pull them apart to test it one day - I'll let you know if/when I do!
It's always exciting to get new toys and the srs-3100 was a great deal! I am still on the fence on the elctrostats, when you receive the other set (same thing I'm considering) please let me know your thoughts. I honestly have been eyeing them for a while, but just haven't pulled the trigger.
CEE_TEEHey, I want to buy the ESP/95X but had a doubt..I currently stay in Singapore which has a standard voltage 230 V and frequency is 50 Hz. But, later this year I will be shifting to Canada where voltage is 110V/60Hz.
At the purchase page I need to pick the voltage/frequency so, was a bit confused & needed a suggestion from your end.
AusghostdogYes- if you request and are able to receive emails from us (not going to spam folder), then you will get a notification that it is available again!
