If only the selvedge in this collab weren't sanforized!
Any chance that MD will use unsanforized 14+ selvedge indigo denim in a future N&F collaboration -- possibly with a hint of ultramarine lending a slight glow to the blue? The texture will be better, the fades, more natural and, as long as people freeze their jeans instead of washing them, the size will stay fine.

dead_pixel_designThanks for the props, dpd.
I was going to tell you that MD probably chose sanforized selvedge because they were anticipating complaints of unintended shrinkage, but I just saw that Will said essentially the same thing to you.
Still, I'd love to see an unsanforized selvedge jeans drop with a huge warning on the product page about washing them above lukewarm temperatures or using the dryer at all:
We recommend not washing your jeans for at least a year. Freezing them is probably the best antibacterial treatment. Soaking below a lukewarm temperature lightens the dye. Soaking or washing above that temperature can shrink your jeans by at least two inches. Soak them briefly if at all. Machine washing can also add unintended fades to your jeans.
But even with a disclaimer, some members would complain. It can be hard for people to recognize problems they've never had to anticipate.

VarholiaglimpFingers crossed for a unsanforized drop down the road, and yes, a very large warning sign right at the top of the page. I'm hoping this is the first of many raws on MD.
