$235 for a folding knife... in the end for me this comes down to the question : do i need a tool ― or an iconic and expensive accessory?

tivasykSome people are into the collecting of the pocket man jewelry. This knife is right up their alley.

namhodexactly how i see it. and collecting is someting i'm desperately trying to avoid. so my comment was like a... demotivator for myself: the "i don't need it" mantra.

tivasykI have a fairly respectable collection going. But they all get carried and used, I could never see myself actually using this knife, although it is good looking.

namhodin my book something i regularly use enters into the category of tools, not collections =) but that's just my terminology.

tivasykIt simply does not mean to be just a tool. You have a lot of knives to choose for that purpose.

tivasykI think of it like a car collection, if I had one. There are some you drive to work, some you drive on back roads with lots of curves, others you drive to take your lady out and others you rarely, if ever, drive.

tivasykyup, a 12$ schrade will do everything this can do. I actually wanted an iconic expensive accessory ~ but at 250$ after tax and shipping there's waaay better looking options in my mind.
