Cable doesn't work

I plugged this into my Massdrop Alt keyboard. It lights up, and nothing else. It is unable to send any input to my computer, making this cable a completely useless paperweight. I tried both of the ports on the keyboard, as well as all the ports on my computer, docks, and USB hubs. Lighting up the keyboard was the best it could do, sometimes it wouldn't even light up. Edit: I later found out that the Massdrop Alt requires a cable length shorter than 6'. The coil on this cable makes it much longer, and as a USB 2.0 cable at this length, it wasn't able to provide the power needed. I'm sure this cable probably would have worked on most other keyboards.

kevinwlauSame thing happened here, i am requesting a refund. The delivery takes weeks and i am not risking my replacement to break the same way.
