I bought this to go with my space gray Drop CTRL V2 mechanical keyboard. I even got the Drop x teamwolf stainless steel keycaps. What gets me is that in the pictures of the Drop CTRL V2 mechanical keyboard there’s a similar cord. I was going for the all gray/stainless look. There should really be a power rating in the details/specs. The keyboard rgb lights would flicker and I wasn’t able to type. When I put the cord with my Corsair k65 mini and it worked fine.
Edit: I’ll keep my rating as is since the cord didn’t work for my intended purpose. It does function with a less powerful keyboard though. I urge Drop and mechcables to add power ratings to the descriptions here. I reached out to mechcables customer service. Sam was very helpful and suggested possible solutions for the cable to work with my keyboard. Unfortunately, it still didn’t work but Sam offered to replace my cable.
Just got my cable. I have seen some reviews that cable did not work but I said to myself, well it should not be that bad. Well, it doesn't work at all, my Drop CTRL after plugging in flashes few times, then all stops. After a minute lights start working but I am unable to write even this review, not a single key works. So... $69 cable that looks nice, but does nothing. Even if I get my money back or replacement cable it is a lot of problems and time consuming. I am quite mad. If you are wondering like I did to buy that cable, think twice...
My cable came in today and I attempted to use it to setup my new CTRL V2 keyboard but it would not register the board whatsoever besides the LED's. When I used the factory cable that came with the keyboard I got setup with no issue. Tried playing around with the coiled cable and different ports with little success besides the ports directly off the motherboard occaisionally registering 1/10 keystrokes and occasionally getting stuck when the switch wasn't even depressed. Seems to be pretty poor Q/A on these cables for something so pretty to be inferior to some bleh boring stock cord.

I have had this sitting in its box since I bought it. I pulled it out today and there was no connection. Put it in my USB tester and tracked down the problem to the coil. The D- line shorts out depending on the position of that coil. Very disappointed.
