Has anybody had to have their watch serviced yet? I'm concerned about both the proprietary movement and the fact that it says it needs a lithium ion battery. May make replacing a dead battery a real pain.
WickWornLooks like it's a regular lithium battery, not lithium ion. The Mondaine web site Design & Technology page says it uses a CR2032 which isn't an uncommon battery - it's in anything from car keyfobs to computer motherboards. Smaller quarts watches can get away with using a SR66 or 377 battery, and I've seen the CR2016 in digital watches before. The CR2032 is essentially a thicker CR2016 with greater capacity.
(For what it's worth, I came across a source that claims the CR2032 is the most common lithium cell, so finding a replacement shouldn't be hard)
