Got mine last night and I've only now had a good chance to play around with it. Although there are no dead/stuck pixels, the backlight bleeds a little on a black screen (not an issue, seems unavoidable in most monitors), but the thing that worries me is the backlighting seems to flicker sometimes. It doesn't happen all the time, but at random intervals. I'm not really sure how to describe it other than that. It's very slight and barely noticeable, so I'm not quite sure if I should be contacting support about it. Anyone know if this problem can alleviate itself with a sort of wear-in on the monitor?

alternI wonder if your flicker could be due to inconsistent power from the cheap adapters they ship? My adapter died after a few days. It was an Apower brand from Korea and they misspelled adapter ("adaptor") and wrote 24A 5A instead of 24V 5A on it. Monoprice shipped me a new one very quickly (I live in southern California). It's a Welltronics brand. It's also Korean. Hey! This one says "adapter" and 24V! That's an immediate improvement. So far it works great (knock on wood). Meh. Like all electronics, the raw components in the power adapter have a failure rate. I'm sure they're all just plastic wrappers around the same mass produced transformers from China. That would explain why they're all the same shape and size. Might even be this one: http://dx.com/p/24v-5a-iron-case-power-supply-silver-ac-110-220v-124504

sidewaysmilkJust checked, mine is the same as your first! "Adaptor 24A-5A" Looks like I'll have to be contacting monoprice in the next few days. Did you have to send back your brick or did they just mail you a new one?

alternYou want to hit their live support chat (google 'monoprice rma chat' without quotes), then just immediately ask to be transferred to RMA. Tell them you're a technology professional and you plugged the monitor directly into the wall and it doesn't work, and you just want a replacement power adapter, "Please just transfer me to RMA." Then tell RMA that your power adapter is dead. The LED doesn't come on, you tested the outlet with other devices, you tested the adapter against other outlets, and you just want a replacement power adapter. You paid almost $400 for this monitor, you don't want to risk shipping a $400 monitor to replace a $2 power adapter. "Just send me a replacement power adapter." They'll comply and send you the adapter, and you don't have to send your dead one back in for exchange. It wouldn't hurt to offer to send it in as a show of good faith, but I think that once you're talking to RMA and you're saying, "I just gave you $400 RAAAHHHH!" they're pretty apt to just send you the power adapter to keep you happy.
Honestly, I just might go through this spiel with them again to get a backup power adapter...

sidewaysmilkGot my new power adapter. It doesn't seem to have had any effect on the flicker, but again, it only happens for about 45 seconds every time the monitor starts up again. I guess I have to live with that small quirk on a cheap panel
