ToshOutdoorsI very highly doubt these are CE rated. No mention of heel cockpit or toe box armor. Plus, the malleolus armor looks like a strip of leather. I wouldn't consider these good protection, but a better, dressier option for riding to work and social obligations. Look at the cut in half image: http://www.motobailey.com/shop/uncategorized/elbulli/#
LightningBRZI agree with that assessment. I would much rather see people buying some of the excellent, more protective riding shoes that are available. So many better options IMO
Ryan_Z28Sure. TCX Street Ace is the new go to, comes in WP and perf. I just got some Daineses that I like a lot as well. Rev'it didn't have a good fit for me. I would recommend trying them on in person cause fit is all over the place.
Ryan_Z28Stylmartin Wave boots looked really nice (https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/stylmartin-wave-boots), but I wound up buying TCX Hero WP boots instead (https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/tcx-hero-wp-boots). I feel the construction of the TCX will hold up much better in the long-term as the soles are stitched and replaceable. I've been wearing them all season with no complaints.
I also own an older pair of TCX X-Rap waterproof riding shoes (similar to the Street Ace). They have held up very well since April 2014, including a 2000-mile trip to Nova Scotia from Boston last fall. The waterproofing failed about 6 hours in a heavy downpour on my way home. The soles are very slippery on sandy surfaces. Otherwise, I've been very happy with them and helped influence my purchase of the Heros.
Lets vote For these Tosh don't mean to spam just trying to get more backers
