Just FYI, if you are in the market for high-performance CPU, AMD Ryzen's may offer more bang for the buck than the aging X99 platform, not to mention the skylake-e refresh coming out soon, which will hopefully be priced lower than x99 due to renewed competition from AMD.
rdmtannerI'm not overly impressed with Ryzen other than pricing and what it will do to Intel's pricing. A decent X370 board that supports SLI is still $350-400 CDN and it's still gonna cost me $500-700 for an unlocked 8 core. If I can pick up a X99 board at this price and a 6 core unlocked i7 for about the same price as a 8 core Ryzen I'll be very pleased.
