Made to do a job, and does it well. IMO wood is an excellent material for things like a wrist rest. It offers a soft feel, with a smooth surface, each one is unique with it's own grain pattern. The finish is excellent, with comfortable rounded edges and corners, and the stain really enhances the color of the wood grain. Rubber foot pads keep it seated in place on your desk. The dimensions mate with my current keyboard nicely in both width and height.
On a more personal note, it blocks the RGB strip on the front of my keyboard, which is great. Love my KB, and that light strip that runs around the whole thing, but the front, facing right at me, I always found to be too bright, and I was turning it off. Now I can keep it on and the remaining three sides provide nice accent lighting.
I made the switch from a foam wrist rest, and I'm glad I did. This is better on my old man wrists. Bonus, I don't look like a complete neckbeard with that peeling foam one.
I really like this wrist rest, its just the perfect size to use with my ALT keyboard, as well as some other keyboard I have. The only detail that slightly bothers me is that the 60% size is slightly too small for the ALT, but other than that it is great. It feels nice and the dark ugyen wood looks very classy.
It's a piece of wood angled for adequate wrist resting while typing. It's smoothed, stained, and has anti-slip pads on the bottom. What more could I ask for?
Overall it is a fairly nice wrist rest but I was surprised when it arrived and was heavily stained instead of being the natural ugyen wood shown in the description. While it is a nice wrist rest I likely would not have gotten it had I known it was going to be this color.
