LanceDBe sure to do a thorough cleaning, but on Rhodia and Clairefontaine it's usually something on the paper, not the pen: for instance oils from your own hand as you write; this is from my own experience... You can use a sheet of paper folded in two under your hand, some people even use a sheet of plastic.
