Quick update for the group. The vendor shipped out the order, but were unable to catch it in time to expedite it. Based on the tracking I was provided these are scheduled to come in on Monday (2/23).
I am disappointed that I wasn't able to get these sent in faster for you all, but I have forwarded the specifics of this order to our warehouse team and they will make sure to prioritize this order as soon as it arrives.
Thanks for your patience through the process and expect another update from us on 2/24 or sooner if something comes up.

HassanSMaybe when liasing with vendors next time, if they ship late, they have to give rebates? Should encourage them to keep their shipment on time yes?

HassanSI wanted to post about the issues with Massdrop and shipping.
I've been an active participant in a few discussions, especially regarding writing stuff. On a limited budget, Massdrop offers opportunities for certain purchases that might not be available to me otherwise. After some fence-sitting, I decided to participate in this drop about 2 weeks ago and posted a few of my reasons why.
To summarize that post, I was impressed with the selection and excellent price. I also realized that the specific estimated date actually respresented the early end of an estimated date range, whether or not it was stated explicitly. I chose to participate *knowing* this and wanted others to be aware, prior to the end of the drop, that this was a chronic issue with Massdrop.
That said, I have noticed that Massdrop has become much better about letting us know what's going on and alerting participants to exactly what's happening with a completed drop (during the delivery period).
With his most recent post, @HassanS is doing just that. His post is not a generic, boilerplate post; it's specific to our situation. I appreciaite this. I know that a week's delay is not uncommon. 2 weeks' delay is not uncommon. That's what we get for the extra savings and, in my case, the ability to purchase a verson/style of the Metropolitan I didn't even know existed.
In short, I see the posted "reship date" as a range and I trust Massdrop to keep me/us in the loop as things progress. I appreciate the opportunity to grab a couple of these at $12/each, especially with the selection offered, and I look forward to seeing them when they arrive. In the meantime, I trust I'll be given honest, specific and timely updates.
Cheers.
ps. What is the best way to request Massdrop to please change "estimated shipment date" to "estimated shipment date range"?
Edited for typos, grammar and clarity.

HassanSHi all,
I wouldn't assume they've shipped (from the Massdrop warehouse to us) until someone from Massdrop has said as much on this board. @HassanS said he'll be posting an update by tomorrow (2/24), so we should know more by then.
Cheers.
