25 lumen is pretty bad. I'd recommend getting something like a MecArmy Illuminex w/ 130 lumen at around the same size and price point.

SilvermountainI was thinking the same thing...though for the size and basically no reflector it's not horrid, but at that price tag I couldn't. Honestly though, might as well just pop out my cellphone.

SilvermountainYeah, at this price (IMHO!) people should just look at the Maratac AAA's...

SilvermountainYou're paying for the pure titanium body, and fine personal craftsmanship.

LunchableLol. There are others, like the MecArmy, that sports a great Titanium body, two-step light up to 130 lumen...for $35-40 shipped.

SilvermountainSure, but the TEC light is smaller, lighter, can hold a tritium vial, and is made in the USA. To each his own. I think the TEC light looks super slick, and everything TEC makes is absolute quality.

LunchableWell..... TEC: 1.69x0.32 inch, 0.26oz MecArmy X1: 1.61x0.5 inch, 0.31oz The X1 is also submersible to 2m, 1.5m impact resistant. Oh..and 130 lumen :)
But I absolutely agree with you - to each his own. It would be boring if we all just liked the same stuff :) Best of luck.
SilvermountainThanks for the civil pros/cons guys (gals?), I appreciate that. I will simply add here that we do not manufacture these lights in 10K+ production quantities, and we also have to support a business in the US. That's why the cost per lumen will be higher, although that is not always why I buy a light. However MecArmy does put out some nice lights, I have a couple myself :-)

TECENGI just committed to two based on the fact that you are responding here. Looking forward to getting these lights. Keep up the good work.

BenkThank you, I truly appreciate the support :-)
TECENGDo you make a AAA battery version? I definitely would consider one in this size, mainly for the easily replaceable/rechargeable battery option.
TortoiseThunderWe do not, and if we did it would be much larger. Not only would the battery be larger, but we would also require a voltage step-up circuit which would increase the size even more. At that point, you may be just as well off buying one of the small AAA lights currently on the market. The primary feature of this light is its compact size, giving that up puts this into an entirely different category.
TECENGI have a few AAA and am pretty unimpressed about the durability of EDC. They cannot stand up to the daily wear, either the click switch goes bad, or the circuit goes bad. I think it's the humid conditions? Make one that is rebuildable/ solid state? and uses AAA batteries and i would buy, as long as it's under $50. Around 100 lumens, damn that would be perfect!
TortoiseThunderThanks for the input, much appreciated. It would be difficult though, lots of competition out there!
