You need me to draw you a picture? Tough to do on this keyboard. In place of that, consider they're trying to sell you a cheesy t-shirt made from cotton factory floor sweepings and recycled god-knows-what for twenty bucks. Assuming their profits, MDs cut, and the shipping/handling function, you looking at a four or five dollar shirt that will last you half a dozen washings or one season--whichever comes first. Now, wouldn't that be silly?

RayFOf course we all have our own opinions, but I love these shirts! :) Some people wear shirts to cover their body, and others to look good. I choose the latter and that's why I love this shirt. I have access to the Columbia employee store, so I bought these there for $13. They're an absolute STEAL at $13. Would I have taken a flyer on them at $20 without seeing in person? Maybe not, but at $13, I couldn't pass up the offer. It is, literally, the best t-shirt I have ever worn and now have 8 of them! The material is excellent quality. I have 14 different Prana clothing items and they're all premium quality materials, cut, and finish, far superior to other name brand clothes I have. Already washed 5 times and no signs of wear. The FIT is AMAZING! That's why you buy this. Fits nice and snug around the shoulders and biceps and not too snug around the abdomen. The perfect ratio. Usually, shirts with a nice bicep taper are also very tapered in the chest-to-abdomen(ABD), making it look awkwardly snug in the ABD, like you're in a teenage girl band or on a European beach. I'm 5'8" 146lb and about 12% body fat and the size small fits me exactly like the model. Price is higher on amazon. If you read reviews on amazon, people either love the shirt, or thought it was too tight. If you are on the "softer" side of body shape, you may not like this shirt. Maybe size up? It is a very "fitted" cut shirt. It does shrink after washing and drying, keep that in mind. The small felt a little too baggy when I tried it on. Almost didn't like it, but it shrunk a tiny bit and fits perfectly now. Also, ALL of my Prana tees fit the same. Thumbs up for quality control.

PushingMedsI've had a few of these and really like them. I don't use them hiking, because of all the cotton, but for an undershirt. The fit is better than cheap multipack t-shirts and doesn't constrain how I move my arms.

YouNeedANameToAskaQuestionThat's interesting because on the model, it looks like shirt is cramping the hell out his armpits and the waistline barley covers the belt loops on his pants. On the other hand, looks like the perfect shit for showing off that new bellybutton piercing, or your "tramp-stamp" when you bend over!

YouNeedANameToAskaQuestionI'm with you on that. I would never use this for hiking, but this is not an outdoors brand. It's an "outdoors/athletic" urban fashion brand line made by an outdoor company. When I go to the Columbia employee store, they have Columbia, Prana, Mt Hardware and Sorel under one roof. I buy my outdoor gear in MT.H., my city wear in Prana, and my base layers in columbia titanium, and my boots in Columbia. IMO, Prana is one of the best cut American fashion brands. And you'r right. The arm's are cut in a nice way that looks good and gives you full range of motion.

RayFRay, my guess is you may not be into modern mens fashion? Which is totally fine, but, contrary to what some men think, women LOVE when a man (who is in shape) reaches up or bends over and they get a glimpse of a nice stomach or back. I'm in shape, and the shorter fit is one of the reasons I love this shirt. And why my girlfriend loves it, too. EDIT: I just saw your flickr page. You have some really excellent photography!!! Love it!

PushingMedsSo long as "modern fashion" corresponds to what one actually wants to buy and wear, at the price one wants to pay, so be it. My issue is paying too much for what "they" try to pass off as fashion. In the grand scheme of things, a questionable purchase here or there, matters not--there are more important things to save the world from ;- ) Thanks for checking out the pics!
