I will never understand why folks from other geographies are so abrasive towards Massdrop? You do realize that vendors usually put limits to where a product can be sold or shipped to, right? In addition to that Massdrop incurs in substantially more risk and cost when shipping overseas -- same reason I don't ship or sell my used gear to anyone outside CONTUS -- it doesn't make business sense. Please stop taking this personally and spitting pejoratives at Massdrop will accomplish absolutely nothing other than making you look like a bonafide ahole.

rdodevIt's a Massdrop Discussion tradition. $50 to ship to Angola!? Go to hell Massdrop, never again! A "mass" purchase has 1 shipping location and is then shipped from there. It makes no logistical or financial sense for the manufacturer to do the shipping or in this instance Massdrop buys a Canadian product, probably from the US distributor, and then ships for free back to a Canadian address? For products of this size, even within the CONTUS, I consider us lucky to get free shipping. And yeah, electronics, audio in particular, notoriously have regional distribution restrictions. I've read countless audio reviews only to find out the product is only available in the UK, maybe Europe. Also: 'MURICA!!!!!!

rdodevAgreed. Especially when we hear elitist pukes around the world criticize the USA. We've got cool stuff and companies for a reason. Don't bitch about how we do things then bitch you don't have nice things.

totoloopeIf I really wanted stuff that badly, I'd hire a reputable package forwarding service and hope the custom duties won't cost me more than what a similar product would cost me in my country?

totoloopeBecause, you still have the cloice to pay the high shipping if you choose. Also, sometimes shipping to outside the USA is reasonable. It is what it is. If it's not a good deal due to high shipping, don't do it. If it's a good deal then do it. I seriously don't understand this attitude guys like you have. If it's too frustrating for you to handle, cancel your membership and get off their mailing list. Problem solved.

totoloopeGet over it and move on with life. I mean, really? This is something that consumes your mind? Guess what I do when I see something nice I can't have? I accept that reality, and go on about my life. Do you believe Massdrop has a say in this? They can't control the cost of exporting items to YOUR country. Yet you blame them. At least you still have the option to purchase the item from them and pay the crazy shipping and fees imposed by the place you live. Stop blaming them. And I'm not greedy, budy. I appreciate all I have and always give back. Even when I didn't have much.

rdodevTheres no risk shipping USA to Canada, thats what most ppl were talking about, especially when the seller is Canadian. And we pay the shipping anyway. Like sennheiser headphones ship to CA, theres nothing complicated with that.

Brian8383And for this latest drop, nobody received them anyway- it was cancelled because of a lack of supply. So..., there was nothing to be upset about in the first place. Brian8383 had the right attitude!

simonchThen start your own Canadian Massdrop. But yes. Your probably right. Massdrop can easily sell things to Canada and charge much less shipping and therefore sell many more items. But they hate making profits. Or possibly they are Canuckaphobes and their hatred for our friends to the north overpowers their desire for profits. It's one of those two things. Hard to say which one it is because both make so much sense.

totoloopeSelfish? My free market common sense approach is the opposite of selfishness. Lol. Start your own company and do better. It's how everything improves. I want people like you to enjoy the things America enjoys. Like I said, my positions are the complete opposite of selfishness. BTW, do you believe a company shuts off possible customers as a selfish act? Or are there reasons you don't understand? Yeah, I'm sure they don't want to sell more products......just b'cause. That makes sense.
