Mine doesn't grip at all either. It's pretty much useless as a keycap, to my dismay. When I tap it, the recoil (on blue switches) sends the keycap flying off, which makes it nothing better than a trinket. And because I'm using a Race II, I don't really have a key that I never press, plus I carry it around with me(and this keycap just...falls off). Sounds like you should seriously consider redesigning the underside of your keycaps, Massdrop. The design of the outside is excellent, though! I still love the idea, and it met my expectations in that regard.
