Seems like very few buyers have done little more than open their package and fondle their shiny new folder for a few minutes before posting a review. I suppose first impressions count for something, but I want to know how the steel holds up to use and abuse, how the action is after a few months, how durable the clip is, etc. I've been needing a sharp work knife for non-abusive tasks, so I guess I'll stop grumbling and see for myself.

Leoanger30 seconds of stropping at the end of the day and just about any quality of steel should work for the long haul. It's not a supersteel so it shouldn't chip out.

JherbzTrue enough, but it's nice to have a blade that doesn't need a touch-up after breaking down a box or two. The one I ended up buying is a $20 Kershaw; sweet design, but holds an edge about like my old Buck Vantage, which is to say not very well.
