My faceplate came out all bent/curved from the box, any tips on how to make it straight so I can solder the switches straight as well? Is this a common occurrence?

VelnicaMy plate is very flimsy as well. I am struggling to insert the switches so that they are flush with the plate. When building a keyboard I've always inserted switches on the corners worked my way down the board. I am considering just inserting all of the switches into the plate and then pressing the whole thing down on to the PCB. Is this a good idea?

VelnicaI don't know if it is an approved method but I used 3-4 rubber bands to hold the PCB and the plate together. Both for inserting the keys (lining everything up properly) and for soldering to the board (so I knew everything was flush).
