Beautiful pens, especially the Lane model. Delicate and slender lines yet with considerable heft due to the metal construction. However, not a very smooth writer. The nib feels a bit scratchy and dry leading to intermittent skipping with the included black ink cartridge. I swapped this out for the optional converter filled with Pelikan Edelstein Topaz which has improved the flow characteristics somewhat: still a dry writer but no more skipping.
