Drop Mech Keys Meetup Recap - Thanks for Visiting!
As you may have seen, we just hosted our first meetup in quite a while here at Drop HQ (Corsair HQ, but they seem to like us enough :) )! It was a blast to get to meet so many enthusiasts local to the bay area—it had been 10 years since I was last hanging out with keyboard nerds in the bay, at KeyCon 2014. We had a great time hosting everyone at the offices, checking out all the very nice boards y'all brought, and sharing some of our own projects/spaces! I knew it would be fun to host in the Game Room when I first saw it in person, but seeing it come to fruition was still so cool. Alright, I'll stop blabbering on now. xD Picture time! (Oh, real quick - there will be more of these! Stay tuned for more info and to catch the next one!)

The sound is amazing. Overall the RC930 is very quiet, but you do get a nice, dull "thock" accompanied with a soft "shh" sound on each keystroke. The stock dental banding prevents the harsh "click" that my FC660C has on the upstroke. I really enjoy it. I almost enjoy the sound of the board more than the feel.
The stock keycaps are also surprisingly decent. They are ABS and I'll end up replacing them eventually, but they have a pretty nice texture and are fairly thick.
The backlighting looks nice and is customizable without software, but the software allows the keyboard to use even more colors so it's highly recommended to get the software from RK's site.
The case is serviceable. I don't really like the texture of it, but its construction is solid.
The cable looks nice (it's braided red and black, like the picture) but is unfortunately not removeable without mods.
I own a Poker II with MX Browns, a CODE TKL with MX Clears, and the aforementioned FC660C with 45g Topre, but this RC930 just overtook them all as my daily driver. For the price the RC930 is an absolute steal.
