I put one of these together a year or two ago. It's a LOT of soldering, so if you haven't done that before, I'd recommend getting the assembled version.
Each LED is 4 pins, times 64 LEDs plus all the other connections makes > 300 solder points, and any mistakes inside the 3D matrix are hard to fix.
It is fun to do if you want a challenge :)
