Hmm..was excited at first but then I saw its $165 to add the inner, then a full setup is 46.7 oz/2.91 pounds and its almost $400 for a 3 pound trekking pole tent. Am I missing something? Is the waterproofing really good? I'm not real familiar with that part.

cturnbullI'm in the same boat, ct. There are many trekking pole shelters out there that are significantly lighter. And in this weight class, you could pick up a free-standing shelter. To me, this tent would be great for fly-in hunters dealing with strict weight limits, or for two people looking to trade grams for a luxurious amount of space, or who tote along a dog or baby. It's compelling without the nest...there are lighter options out there, but this would give generous coverage for the modest weight gain. The Eolus will be a killer shelter for someone...but not me. That said, Seek Outside makes quality stuff. I have and love their Redcliff, which is a great shelter for use with a wood stove.

Dutch7I'd say it's a nice tent of you run it without the nest and carry a groundsheet. Personally not a fan of sleeping in a space where bugs and mosquitos can waltz in though. The weight and price just don't add up.

TomATXProbably not as good of quality as this tent but costs a whole let less/weighs slightly less too. It's actually available under the name "MIER" on Amazon for $130 as well. Looks about the same.
