JamesonyI've had the same thought when checking out this exact model some months ago. The problem is, with Seiko automatic chronographs, one would either have to go used ($2-400+), or fork out upwards of 20 times ($2K++) what this SNN231 is going for.
serifThere are plenty of Automatic watches on Massdrop and hardly any Quartz so you have plenty of chances to get an Auto. I think it is a good thing to offer a Quartz every now and then because you can get a very accurate watch for very little money compared to an Auto
PenceyPrepI don't disagree with you, it's definitely good to have choices (quartz/kinetic/solar/auto/etc) available because people want different things :) Quartz watches are great for what they do, I just wasn't interested in one at the moment I made my comment 2 months ago. I now have a solar in my sights :P
