huge improvement over "gaming"
Been through all the "gaming" headsets over the decades. This is Massive improvement over the pc38x and all the others! Like cleaning all the mud out of your ears for the first time and ridding the distortions I have grown accustoming to the gaming world with pc38x being an acception . Whatever neutral means, is definitely a good thing for gaming of all sorts and a good improvement for music and movies. But situational awareness is its strongest suit. Fulla schiit to pc which is not premium but much better then my cheap Yamaha receiver. Only issue is my fulla schiit is having intermittent usb issues since going amd am4. USB Power issue maybe? I tried the 3.5mm adapter today, it introduced a lot of static I could not wiggle out. Comfortable after about a month of wearing on my just short of giant head.

Excellent but highly recommended replacing the cable.
I got these to use as my daily drivers after using a Pc37x for gaming and AthM50x for editing and I absolutely love them. Super light and comfortable on my head just like the Pc37x with nice clean sound. I’m a huge fan of the velour padding since I don’t have to worry about it peeling/flaking like the pleather on so many other cans. The only thing I can criticize is the cable. It’s not bad, just way too long to run from my desktop amp to my head. My amp is within arms reach when I’m sitting at my desk and this only comes with a ~10 foot long cable. Still four stars though since it’s such an easy replacement.

I did replaced the pads. I took dekoni for pc38x and 599. Sound slightly shifted to the dark side. But I like it more than with the stock pads.

Perfect for FPS Gaming
I am new to audiophile grade headphones and decided to go with these after seeing solid reviews. The price was a lot to commit to spending, but it was worth every penny. I've been using it for gaming and music and it has been the best audio experience I've ever had. It has amazing directional accuracy and makes me feel like I have wall hacks with how well I can tell where footsteps are coming from ingame. It's also nice to have open back headphones so I can judge how loud I'm being. Music wise, I'm hearing things in songs that I've never heard before and these are wonderful. All around 100% satisfied with my purchase.

Great First Pair
I'm newer to the audiophile world, and after a little research, this is the first pair of open-backed headphones I purchased. The lower price tag initially attracted me to them, but reading up on the headphones convinced me to buy. Worthy contender to the 6XX, but needs a better cable
I'm sure they made the cable specifically for people with full-size amps in mind, but I wish it was easy to find balanced cables for it

Not really a reply to the above, but I find it interesting and/or telling that the 560S is selling for more than both the 58X and the 6XX in October 2023. I don't own the 6XX, but i wonder if more people are going for the 560S, or if it's simply supply vs demand. I think that I'm probably happier with the 560S given that I'm more an instrumental listener than vocal listener. The 6XX sure has sold more units though...

danieljohnsonrnI have both the 6xx and the 560s. I'm old and have measurable mid and high frequency hearing loss. I much prefer the 560s. Got it for almost half what is sells for here. Music only, no gaming.

Excellent Headphones for Casual Music and Gaming
This is my third pair of Sennheiser headphones, along the HD 599 and HD 6XX, and the HD 560S are on par for build/sound quality and comfort. The HD 560S do have a narrower soundstage and are a bit more analytical, bringing out minute details in music and providing excellent directional details in gaming. Currently have these paired with an ifi ZEN DAC V2 and the TrueBass ‘bass boost’ function really make the HD 560S shine. The clamping force is a little tight out of the box but I hope they'll loosen up like the HD 599, since they seem to have the same headband.

Nice sound but may be a bit tight for long use
The sound is fantastic and the soundstage is pretty solid for the price. My one complaint is the tight clamping force, which can make them undesirable for prolonged listens.
