808dreaminI think Sennheiser would for a manufacturing defect, this was a sale they authorized and provided units for. But we don’t know... ttft made his public announcement in July last year, but didn’t post an update if his issue was ever resolved. Sennheiser doesn’t really check discussion forums for people to reach out to for tech support, you have to go to their support page. I don’t know of any company that goes looking for trouble. However, I tried to point him in the right direction, hopefully it wasn’t needed anyway because he reached support.

League544I just discovered what his issue was, the headphone shipped with the pads detached: https://drop.com/buy/sennheiser-hd-820-closed-back-headphones/reviews/2673691 A surprise to me, and it looks like it happened to one other person too, but also that it was easy to attach them. I suspect that’s what ttft did, and never came back to Drop to say it. Still, even if it was a minor issue, they should have come fully attached.
