I've been bike commuting through two winters with the hoodless version of this jacket. This runs big on me (6', 190 lbs wearing an XL). But when you're over the bars and hauling a laptop pack, it helps that it's loose. Arms are long, but the velcro wrists are adjustable. There's enough room to layer underneath, but I seldom do in our 30-40 degree Winter mornings. Side vents are HUGE, and they work really well to keep the jacket breathing. Even during a downpour, they're positioned to not get you wet. Material isn't windbreaker light, but it packs pretty well and has held up so far. The only issues I have with the jacket is that my version doesn't have any side pockets (just the deep breast pocket which still holds a cell and wallet), and the zippers are the rubberized kind that sometimes are a little tricky to get started.
treal512I haven't, although I don't wear the jacket as a daily. I have a lightweight Pearl Izuma convertible I use when it isn't raining. I'd say that in the couple dozen days I have worn it in the past two winters, no issues.
That's not winter, that was my walk this morning. Well, except it wasn't raining: https://www.flickr.com/photos/ccpetro/40537292215/
