Why are there two audio cables attached to the headphones?

Those are the two 2.5mm TS (Tip-Sleeve) connectors of the nice included unbalanced cable. The other end is a 3.5mm TRS (Tip-Ring-Sleeve) connector with a 6.3mm TRS adapter. Having separate connectors on each earcup enables heaphones to easily be powered by a balanced source with a suitable cable, i.e. 2.5mm TS to 2.5mm TRRS, 4.4mm TRRRS "pentacon" or XLR.

Are there other pads available
as of a couple weeks ago they didn't have any officially supported pads (phoenix pads might work but one of their reps said it might not as the shapes are different)
update at saw replacement pads on hifigo other places might as well

quicklytoo4Sivga has impressed me. When the community wanted thicker pads for the Phoenix's they made it happen pretty quickly. Great to know these have pads already being produced.

Does anyone know if these are utilizing the same drivers as the Phoenix's? I just got the Phoenix's last week and the upgraded pleather pads are well worth picking up. These seems to be a semi-open or closed version of their drivers.
