I'm not really diggin the pastel aesthetic. It seems like a great deal off the MSRP though. I just don't quite understand even the discounted price for an anodized aluminum shell, with some superfluous g10 inlays, and a flat ground blade. Seems like an ~$80 knife that we're being charged a premium for because someone with a name designed it.

TueraiThen you will be really unimpressed if you look on Ebay at the asking prices. Between $250- $550. It is a really nice knife though! I own one and love it.

TueraiYou pay for the craftsmanship, too. Japanese labor is expensive. The build quality of most knives <$100 is pretty bad or pretty simple. I have a Boker Marlowe knife and it has titanium and micarta with VH-10 but the quality was overall lacking by comparison with anything from Spyderco.

TueraiYou will find that many of the highest end blades are flat ground. It is a hollow grind that you find on budget blades, Scandi grind, and saber grind too. Though you didn't mention the VG-10 steel, it's a very good steel and a favorite of Japanese makers.
