Just received my package today. Arrived amazingly fast, however, the razor was chipped. I don't know what the piece is called but it's the bottom part where the blade 'sits'. The edge that makes contact with the skin. What can I do about this?

Vay_UmmbopI think you're referring to the base plate. I just got mine too and the stand has a dent/chip in it. Not a big deal to me but if I decide to sell or trade it might affect value. Guess I'll contact massdrop support.

NocturnxJust so you know Massdrop has not gotten back to me yet. I did however get in touch with Standard Razor and they said that they can replace the base plate for me at the cost of $16 shipping. It could be the same situation for you.

Vay_UmmbopMassdrop support got back to me about 24 hours after submitting the inquiry. They asked I fill out a claim form and send a picture of the damage. So far so good...

newtonslifeMine was well packaged when I received it, everything was wrapped well in bubblewrap. I can't say for sure but this makes me think it was damaged in-transit from the maker to the Massdrop warehouse. I bet the maker didn't pack them well...

newtonslifeThe makers reckon it was damaged in transit. However, both Standard Razor and Massdrop have so far dealt with my case very well. Massdrop have agreed to reimburse me for the shipping cost that I will pay to SR for replacing my base plate. So far I'm very happy with the outcome.
