Flowerpower1231. Counterweight to hang from your pocket knife clipped to the pocket (à la pocketwatch fob). Makes it easier to draw. 2. Easier to find a knife and retrieve from a pocket. 3. For large hands holding a small knife, a short lanyard with a solid bead allows a more secure grip where it might otherwise be only 3-fingered. 4. Man jewelry... :)
