I have the variable one (feels strange for 10 minutes and then it's only pleasure). I just wanted to say I'm so happy I bought it ! I'm using it at work and my coworkers are jealous !!! Also it isn't very noisy at normal speed if you know how to type (I use 10 fingers on a french Dvorak layout). At full speed, it's a bit noisy, but who's typing full speed constantly ???
