Just got my 55g uniform board YTD. I really like it to say the least. I can see why some say topre switches are just refined rubber domes, but I think thats a large part of what makes it so nice. When you push down on the switch, the thought that comes to mind is smooth, it just glides down with a tinge of resistance. As far as topre switches go the thock of the switches when it bottoms out is quite soft, after trying out the HHKB and the leopold, both seems to produce louder thocks, however only the realforce has 55g switches so thats something to consider. 55g seems like the perfect weight to be but i wouldnt mind trying something heavier like 60g. Comparison with cherry mx blues on my last keyboard(ducky shine 3 with vortex PBT keycaps):The switches seem to come up faster than cherry mx blues after being pressed and although the springs are weighted for 55gs, it is less fatiguing to type on the keyboard in comparison with cherry mx blues. The numberpad takes some getting used to after coming from a full sized keyboard but I'm sure ill manage. Another thing to note is that the realforce is actually shorter than regular cherry mx keyboards so it takes a bit of getting used to. All in all I recommend getting this keyboard if you really want a unique typing experience. I wouldnt say topre is the best switch ever because I can see how the clicks of greens/blues or the stiffness of blacks could appeal to some, however this is my favourite switch( for now) at least until I try a bucking spring keyboard!
