lxchinisn't that the same steel as the fixed blade version? I'm not an expert but I thought 1095 was a decent choice for hard use outdoor knives. Esee uses 1095 in their USA made fixed blades and my Esee 4 has never let me down.

Benslen15Yeah, I'm almost positive this is the same as the fixed blade. It's meant to be tough.

Benslen15It's not a bad steel in and of itself but for $270 MSRP i would expect a much better steel that is more corrosion resistant and has better edge retention.

Benslen15for fixed definatly... 1095 less chippy. But for a folder, would be nice to have a better steel. Especailly for that price. Still looks beautiful though!
