So I get an update today, that due to mfg delays, they can't supply us with coolers until April 17th. And yet, Amazon, Newegg, and other retailers have hundreds of them already and have more coming in... ????
Methinks someone is being disingenuous here, not exactly sure who....

AddictedGamerSPIt would be helpful to know if we are getting the old v3.0 models, or the new models announced at CES. I'm going to assume the old model, given the price. But the shipping/mfg delay makes me think we'd be getting the first batches of the new model? Some clarification would be nice.

AddictedGamerSPWhat you guys don't realize is the difference between getting a shipment from a manufacturer vs a warehouse that already has it in stock with tons of resources for logistics to get small amounts of things moving quickly. Places like newegg and amazon already have these in their warehouses, and can ship them out immediately, and probably already made orders awhile back for them vs massdrop cannot do this.

tyler555Sure, except Massdrop isn't doing a single thing here with regard to shipment. These are all drop shipped by the vendor or by the reseller. Massdrop just sends them a shipping manifest. Manufacturers and resellers that are warehousing all this for Massdrop (whom in this case is nothing but a middleman), has tons of resources for shipping. Otherwise, they wouldn't be able to ship out their product. Drop shipping is 100% part of a reseller/mfg business. Otherwise they wouldn't offer it, and Massdrop wouldn't even be possible.
So they 100% have the time and resources to ask which model version we'd be getting.
Needless to say, way to Necro this thread, since I received it months ago. You're getting the old v2.0 models by the way.

AddictedGamerSPgood point. If they are indeed getting drop-shipped it is a tad ridiculous.
