Is this full grain or top grain or genuine leather?

L_PhIt's "oiled leather." There are a lot of BS leather grades out there ("military grade leather"), and oiled leather seems to be a new one. I think it's a fair guess to say that at this price it's genuine leather or even the form of genuine leather called bonded leather. Personally, I'd prefer a really high quality waxed canvas or even nylon briefcase to a really cheap leather briefcase.

CloacaI completely understand your point about the leather type, however, there is 0% possibility that this bag is made of "bonded" leather- it simply wouldn't work. Bonded leather is shredded leather glued back together- the equivalent of particle-wood furniture- and it cannot be made into soft goods. It is for book covers and other semi-hard applications e.g. furniture inlays and the like. These bags are, at least, some form of a solid leather. Certainly not top or full grain, as they would certainly mention that!
