Is the Hub unit removable so that I could turn around all the connections facing backward.

Can confirm for future runs that the hub unit is detachable and can be turned around.

Unfortunately, the power hub cannot be removed from the laptop riser but there is a single output for charging in the back.

Do all of these inputs somehow connect to the laptop?

The Ethernet port does connect to the cable from the router, and that transfers to the laptop through the USB-C host port on the opposite side.
This thing has so much potential, but I’m not sure what the engineers that designed it were thinking… the display ports and Ethernet obviously would have been much nicer if they were placed on the rear of the hub instead of facing the user. Also, just like most things, they seem to be 2 steps behind the curve and they didn’t color it to match the new black MacBook color. Bummer. I would have ordered a half dozen of these if the above mentioned design issues had been thought through logically! is there any chance they will be designing a second round of these using common sense?
Confirmed the hub is detachable so you can turn it around. Source: I bought one

What's the biggest laptop size this stand can support?

The laptop riser tray is 11" x 8.5", so VIVO would not recommend a laptop larger than 15.6" (diagonal).
