How are these different from previous versions (besides the logo)?

PatronThe W80 V3 has the same sound signature and performance as the previous generation, but at a lower retail price ($999 compared to $1,500) due to swapping the previous BT and ALO cables with the Hi-def silver cable, and including a medium size case instead of the historical large and small cases.

jnoonanIt's incredible how they can charge so much for a BT and a branded ALO cable. As a cable maker myself, I find it pretty sad.

PatronWestone nowadays seems to have no clue what they're doing or trying to achieve. Zero technology innovation. Switching the casing and call it V3?!

PatronDon't forget they also moved to a lesser cable and dropped the Bluetooth one out completely. On the upside, they are more expensive (at least compared to the 599 you could routinely get them for at adorama). I hate companies that pretend to be serious about an msrp then always sell them for 60% off. These were never really 1500 phones...

PatronI think your being a little hard here on Westone. Any company that can put eight drivers into a tiny Earpiece is not what I call a zero Technology company. I think many Musicians would disagree with you. They have other lines of IEMs too that are held in very high esteem.
