OK....I am a true rookie. How do I hook this up? Do I have to buy a receiver? Laugh a while and then someone out there give me some directive please?

MLaffThis is designed for headphones. As long as your RCA source is from a computer, phone, TV or CD player, you're fine with just this. The only thing you need a preamp for would be a turntable.

MLaffShould work just fine with the L/R Analog input on your sound bar, depending on what you are listening to music from? What are you playing your music with exactly?

I wanted to buy a better amp but I don't know how they hook up.....can i hook it up to this sound bar and then play music through the soundbar bt? I see amplifier's everywhere for sale but no instructions on what you hook them up to....

MLaffThis amplifier is meant for output to headphones. It only has two sets of RCA-type inputs, but no preamp outputs. The amplifier has left and right RCA inputs, to connect to the sound output from a source device like a CD/DVD/Bluray player. Your sound bar has inputs, but I don't see outputs on it. A source device that will work with this amp will have outputs in the form of RCA (looks like the red/white connectors on your sound bar), or possibly a headphone output where you could connect an adapter that converts the headphone output of your source to male RCA jacks. I hope that helps.

MLaffYou just need to get a source with RCA outputs. That could be a USB DAC like this (https://drop.com/buy/massdrop-x-grace-design-standard-dac) or a Schiit Modi (https://www.schiit.com/products/modi-1) or if you have RCA outs on your PC sound card, a CD player or your TV those would work also. You just need something that can send the audio signal from the source (spotify etc.) too the amp.
