Does this transmit bluetooth audio? Or can they only receive bluetooth audio?

RX/TX so you can run it in your back pocket and have your phone go to amp, then amp to headphones. Be aware you aren't using the DAC in this case at all, Just boosting the volume.

Does this have 3.5mm input? if not then what is that other jack next to the headphone jack?

Yes, it has a 3.5mm input. It's a combo aux in/out. It's an input in amp mode and a line out in bluetooth/DAC mode

thisisjasonThat sounds interesting. Seems like it can be used to replace a Soundblaster E5. Is that input good as a mic input? My E5 died a few months ago and I really liked the convenience but want something more modern.

thisisjasonIt sounds like I can use it on a plane to connect onboard entertainment system 3.5mm (via mono/stereo 3.5mm adaptor) to the aux-in, then connect my headphones to this via Bluetooth?

Is this better than the award winning Chord Mojo? I do acknowledge the Chord does not have Bluetooth and this does, but for wired listening and using the DAC, is this a better option?

No. Mojo is significantly better. But the Xduoo is significantly less expensive, so there’s that.

Would a USB-C to lightning cable work for wired use with iPhones? And - does such a cable exist?

Such cables do exist - they are available from Apple, Amazon, Monoprice, etc. I can't think of any reason they wouldn't work in your situation, although it might be hard to find a really short one for portable use.
