How does this use Adobe atmos it's just 7.2 Atmos receivers are 7.2.2 or 7.2.4 for speakers in the ceiling

RyanDay7.2 is a generic term. This receiver is Atmos and DTS-X enabled. 7.2 means I has 7 channels (powered) & 2 sub pre-outs. For this it's receiver 7.2 = 5.2.2 in Dolby numbering format. x.x.2 mean means 2 channels either height, ceiling, or Atmos Enabled up firing speakers.

RyanDayIt will do 7.1 surround or 5.1.2 Atmos. The rear surrounds can be assigned to be Atmos instead.
