YUNZII AL71 CNC Aluminum Mechanical Keyboard

I got one of these for free (not from Drop) to test late last year and though I haven’t spent much time using it, it does feel pretty impressive for a budget metal keyboard. I received a red one and kept the clear linear switches it came with. The finish on the case is a bit rough feeling which isn’t to my taste but it’s definitely hefty enough to make up for that, giving a decent feel and sound even with the included keycaps. I didn’t bother to install the proprietary software just yet but I think if it had QMK/VIA support, its value would go way up. Its wireless performance seems fine and the 2.4G dongle is always better than regular old Bluetooth. In the end I swapped in my KAT Explosion keycaps and just have it sitting pretty on the shelf next to my other metal boards; the plastic ones stay in a pile nearby lol. [image]
