When I have ordered things, clicking Join Drop has instantly placed my order. I want to see the shipping charge before I trust clicking that button.

Clicking Join Drop will always take you to the checkout page where you choose your payment method and shipping address before confirming the order. If an order is ever submitted erroneously, you can go to the transactions section of your profile to cancel it before the drop ends.
