I've owned a Zojirushi for 8 or 9 years and use it often. It cooks perfect rice every time and has been trouble free - - except the internal battery that keeps the clock/timer running finally wore out a few months ago, and it's not user replaceable. The cooker still works when plugged in, so the dead battery isn't much of a problem for me.

RobertSIf you search hard enough on Google there's a post where a user shows you how to crack it open and replace the battery with a little battery holder and make it replaceable.
