Interesting that no-one bites on this question (so far); I do feel that some are intimidated to post information that might go against the grain. (a recent article on What HiFi listing audio tweaks that cost nothing/next to nothing was heavily attacked as garbage by pundits, many saying that they now think of ‘What HiFi as a junk information site, and were quite nasty. Odd given I can personally vouch for majority as being great tweaks...

I think your preoccupation with the wall-wart is HIGHLY misplaced. There's nothing wrong with it, & you are just wasting your time & money worrying about non-issues. It doesn't need a power switch, NOR SHOULD IT. These are Electrostatic headphones, that little amplifier box is also the energiser for the diaphragms. THEY NEED TO BE CHARGING CONTINUOUSLY FOR OPTIMUM SOUND. The longer they charge, the better they'll sound. Not for a few minutes...

I've had my Headset since January 2021 and its been doing exactly what I need it to. However as of a month ago the left speaker will turn off completely. Adjusting the headset on my head and the adjusting clip seems to sporadically return the sound if only for a moment. There may be something wrong with the headset internal and i'm wanting to claim my manufacturers warranty. How can I do this?

I never claimed that you were getting the full data theoretically possible. I'm sure we have a long way to go before we ever get close to that point. I've read a lot of posts that say Focal Elear / Elex cracking and distort at high volume (even around 80 db) with heavy bass, is it true?  I've read Focal's official statement, but some posts said the replaced one just don't have this issue...really confused
