Drop CTRL V1 High-Profile Mechanical Keyboard

Drop high profile Ctrl keyboard......It is winter and I am now having trouble with Static Electricity shocking my keyboard when i go to use it after sitting down and it is turning off my keyboard. I have to unplug and replug my keyboard back in to get it to work again. Any easy fix for this to prevent this from happening and is it normal?
