Is there supposed to be drastic inconsistencies with the texture of the keycaps? Alphas are all fairly smooth; modifiers are much more gritty (and what I was expecting all of the keys to feel like). Additionally, the Z and B keycaps are the only two alphas that have the same grit as the modifiers.
